super natural cafe

i went with friends to eat at super natural cafe on friday night.  this was a first time eating there for all of us. i can't speak for the others, but i really thought the food was fresh and quite tasty.  not to mention gluten and dairy free.  that always makes my life easier.  i ordered the meza azul, which were 2 blue corn/winter squash tamales with pumpkin seed-tomato mole.  it was complemented by fresh greens and some seriously good cantaloupe.  i also had one of their lavender lemonades and the dark chocolate confection(raw cacao, cashews, dates, raisins, agave, vanilla sea salt).  it really was all quite tasty and i want to go back to try other things on the menu.  i have to say that i had some pretty major negative effects on my stomach that night and well into the day on saturday that i think could quite possibly have been the cashews, but i decided before i went that i wanted to give nuts a try again.  they were in my dessert and in the dish that mel ordered that i had a few bites of.  i think maybe the cashew nut is not an option for me because i hadn't eaten anything else i wasn't supposed to. anyway, blah blah blah like you want to hear about that!  i liked it and want to try it again.  in the mean time i hope they hire another server because they are shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to service by only having one.
